Sofi contributes

The great work must inevitably be obscure, except to the very few, to those who like the author are initiated into the mysteries. Communication then is secondary: it is perpetuation which is important. For this only one good reader is necessary.
Henry Miller

We're not egotistical enough to think we've written Miller's "great work." We write because we must defend and preserve our memories, however colored or distorted the lens we view them through is. The lens is the mystery. It obscures and illuminates.

Will what we think so well-obscured in fiction be revealed eventually as fact?

Cryptic way to introduce self, and on Riccardo's account too, but his computer (and life) are an open book, at least here and to me. So, this open call, to one, hopefully more "good readers."

Kisses and misses Vi. xoxox. Let us know you've arrived safely.

More to follow.
Love Sofi

  1. I joined some girlfriends last night in Rome in a small penthouse overlooking the coliseum near my family palazzotto and there were a few men and women who could dance well. I watched these couples dance Tango and, erotic as the dance may appear,is it any more erotic, than a man and a woman writing to each other about a novel that the man has been inspired to write by a woman, or in this instance by two women? Who can deny that dancing with written words is not erotic, even just as erotic as beautiful dance steps created by a man an a woman in a close embrace? How can anyone not agree that this beautiful novel was the fruit of passion and eroticism which matured from a liaison between a trio who enjoyed sensual love making to the point that it became an art? I challenge anyone to comment on this.

  2. Thanks for joining the conversation Darling. I'm glad you arrived safely. I hesitate to call, as I don't know where you'll be or who you'll be with. But when you are free to call the office at FalconFilm or call my cell.

As you know I've been keeping my journals for much longer than this blog and am considering publishing the recollection of my first, most embarrassing "dance" up for readers. Please, both of you become members. Sofi, do I need to change passwords? Open book indeed.

  3. I await your publication of your most embarrassing 'dance', Riccardo. I tried to call you, Sofi, but you didn't pick up your phone. Were you and R together? I can only assume. We can now communicate through Riccardo's blog which will be fun but let us not forget the more standard ways of communication between us three when I am in Europe! -:)

  4. Vi, my love, I tried to pick up but the phone stopped ringing by the time I got to it. We were asleep when you called. Um. Sorry. We are grateful for the use of the apartment while you are gone, but please call again pref. during daytime. I know Rome is 6 hours later and I know you have your family obligations earlier in the day, but do try again. It's late and gotta crash to be early to prep for Monday's shoot. More Love and kisses. Sof. xxoo
